Chrisman Seniors Celebrate With Decision Day
William Chrisman college adviser Quana Atkins and the counselors hosted what she hopes is the first of many Decision Days for seniors.
Decision Day is a celebration for seniors who know where they will be attending college. Seniors who attended the event got gifts and were recognized for continuing their education. Atkins felt that it was a good experience and went pretty well.
“From the reviews, everyone said it was good. I was happy to see seniors come out, everyone got a gift and it was good recognizing seniors who are continuing their education,” she said.
A lot of preparation was put into this celebration, including shopping for gifts for more than 100 seniors, taking inventory, assigning prizes, and getting donations. A lot of seniors attended Decision Day and had nothing but good things to say.
Senior Cameron Watters said “It was cool, it was a good opportunity to get seniors to get what they need for college.”
Senior Javion Lowery also had positive things to say.
“I think it went well, there was lots of fun activities and lots of people won useful things for college,” he said.
