Lady Bears' Tennis Take Third in Belton Tournament
It was a season of ups and downs for the young Lady Bears’ tennis team, but a major highlight was taking third at the Belton varsity tournament in September. They just lost out to Truman for second,
Katie Schaefer (Soph.) & Izzy Jaynes (Soph.) took second in A Bracket Doubles to a Ray-Pec team who won 3 different tournaments this season.
The team of Ally Cook (Soph.) & Celeste Cummins (Soph.) took second in B Bracket Doubles. They lost the championship to a Ray-Pec team who won 2 different tournaments this season.
Junior Juliette Anderson was third in A Bracket Singles. She lost in the second round to the eventual A singles bracket champion from Truman
Sophomore Ricki Brown took sixth Place in B Bracket Singles. It was her first ever varsity tournament after only one varsity experience to this point in her career.
