The Chrisman boys basketball team dropped another game on Saturday in the Courtwarming game 70-49 against the Lawrence Free State Firebirds.
The Bears played decent in the first quarter, keeping it close. With a new starting lineup, the Bears may have experience some chemistry issues and this may have held them back.
The Firebirds discipline proved to be way too much for the Bears to handle, as Free State sustained a consistent 20 point lead for the remainder of the game.
“They are a very disciplined team and it showed. They don’t take bad shots and they work the clock at the right times. I think when they went on a run we would panic and force a quick shot,” said senior Eli Henderson.
At halftime, coach Don Cameron tried to fire up his team.
“We weren’t really into the game from a defensive standpoint. Coach just told us to show everybody that we don’t quit,” senior Justin Dickerson said.
The Bears fell to 3-21 on the season.
