Quintanilla Takes Home Mr. Chrisman Crown
Story By: Rileigh Tucker
On Tuesday May 2nd, 8 senior boys competed in the Mr. Chrisman “beauty pageant”. Kishon HoChee, Sam Wimberly, Cody Davis, Parker Laroche, Trevor Keckler, Otis Jones, Preston Qiuntanilla, and Will Fisher competed against each other in a group dance, talent show, swim wear competition, uniform competition, and formal wear competition with a question.
Although the entire Mr. Chrisman Pageant went very well, each of the participants had their favorite part.
Senior Kishon HoChee said “My favorite part was entertaining the crowd and hearing their feedback. I have stage fright, and when I heard them cheer it made me want to do better.”
All the boys who participated put on a good show and entertained everyone who came to watch, but in the end Senior Preston Quintanilla won the title of Mr. Chrisman.
“It felt great to win, I was very surprised since I was going up against good people.”
The boys all had their own reasons for participating and would recommend competing in the Mr. Chrisman Pageant to incoming seniors.
Senior Cody Davis participated because he wanted to put on a good show with his friends, and said he “would recommend this to every senior boy next year. Even if it is not your place, just try it.”
