Chrisman Track and Field Brings Home PRs at Truman JV Meet
William Chrisman track and field team brought hom 23 PRs and nine first place finishes at the Truman JV Invitational on Tuesday.
David Toese PR’d in both the boys’ discus and shot put as he finished first in both events. Jacque David was first in the girls’ discus and shot competitions.
Wyatt Leutzinger won the boys’ pole vault while Kiersten Playter and Aniyeja Weathers tied for second in the girls’ pole vault.
Weathers and Kameron Thompson won the girls and boys 100m, respectively. Garrett Downey won the boys’ 110m hurdles and also took third in the pole vault.
Pernya Barrett took first in the girls’ 200m and second in the 100m.
Other second place finishers included: Eala Everett (200m), Tristan Myers (800m), Kimori Pointer (1600m), Amanda Szopinski (300m hurdles, triple jump), Derrell Green (300m hurdles), Nick Puleo (shot put, discus), Jaleena David (discus), Jenny David (shot put), and Camryn Holloman (high jump).
The remaining third-place finishers were: Everett (100m), Kenneth Jones (200m), Antonio Cruz (400m, 800m), Braiden Sturtevant (3200m), Jenny David (Disucs), Derrell Green (110m hurdles), Jadyn Williams (javelin) and Downey (pole vault).
The Bears are back in action on Friday as they host the 58th annual Bill Summa Invitational featuring 15 teams.
