Chrisman Seniors Earn Honors in MidContinent Public Library Contest
Two Chrisman seniors received recognition for their work in the Mid-Continent Public Library Book Cover Redesign Contest. The artwork will be displayed at the North Independence Branch.
“Ms. Smith and Mrs. Flinton assigned this project to design a cover for an already existing book,” said seniors Emily Youmans.
Youmans took first place for her redesign of “I Hunt Killers.”
“I was really surprised to win, she said. “I won $50 for first place and my art was turned into a poster and is now displayed in the Mid-Continent Library.”
Lindsey Fairall was second for her work with “Coraline.”
“I got 2nd place and was awarded with a $30 gift card,” Fairall said.
All the student artwork was sent to our Headquarters so that signs could be made telling about each piece. The artwork should return to the North Independence Branch in the next week or so to be displayed for the public to view.
