Chrisman Students Explore Girls in Engineering

On Friday April 15th, Aimee Dietiker, Abbi Stark, Aleshia Diman, Brigitt Kavanaugh, and Kaitlyn Wood accompanied by their Engineering teacher Mr. Verne Leutzinger visited the UMKC Kansas City Engineering Zone for the opportunity to experience Technical Career related activities.
The young ladies Machined metal parts, programmed Robots, sketched using Spatial Reasoning techniques and drank purified water from Brush Creek as part of a Sustainability study. The Independence School District was one of five districts invited to attend the day’s activities. The KC STEM Alliance is a collaborative network of educators, business affiliates and organizations that inspires interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers to generate a robust force of related professionals for our community. |
