Deadpool is Not the Normal Comic Turned Movie
Story By: Gabriel Spaulfing
From director Tim Miller comes a brand new smash hit film featuring the well-known and beloved “Merc with the Mouth” himself. This film is a fresh take on the famous character for newer fans of the anti-hero. From fourth wall breaks to vivid scenes of violence and gore, this movie breaks away from many other films made by Marvel.
This film is filled with classic Deadpool comedy, with plenty of referencing to the audience and vulgarity. It also includes other X-Men related character, like Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The action scenes in this movie are well-animated and the special effects are absolutely fantastic. It truly is the best they could have done with this film.
However, there were a few downsides of the film. The lack of many events in the movie made the film feel very short, even though it wasn’t. There were also a few jokes in the film where it seemed like they were trying too hard to be funny but failed miserably. A lot of mothers also seemed to think taking there small children to see the film, despite the R rating, was appropriate, and part of the blame for that can be placed on the way they advertised for the film.
Overall, however, the film was very well made. It introduced new characters to fans of Deadpool and made fans of the older Deadpool comics very pleased, as it lived up to expectations if not exceeding them. This film easily deserves a rating of at least 4 out of 5 stars.
