Senior Looks to Wrap Up a Chrisman Family Era
February 24, 2016
Story By: Cameron Watters
With a large family full of athletes already passing through Chrisman, Grady Ogle, a varsity football and baseball athlete, ends an era.
Grady has had numerous family members who have both gone to school and worked at chrisman. His father, Dan Ogle, has been a head baseball coach as well as an athletic director , while brothers Gannon, and Garrett also played sports throughout the school. Brothers Brian and Robbie also attended CHrisman and were involved in clubs and athletics.
With the retirement of Dan in 2014, and Gannon graduating last year, this will be Grady’s first year without another family member being involved in the school.
“I just want to leave my mark, and not only represent my family name, but also make a name for myself,” said Grady.
With four years of playing varsity baseball and varsity football, while being a well known face around Chrisman and keeping a strong GPA, Ogle is doing just that.
“It’s been fun playing with Grady, He never fails to make you laugh, and is a solid athlete.” said junior Trey Stout.
Throughout his four years at Chrisman Grady has proved himself as an athlete receiving all conference, all district, and all area honors in football, along with all conference honors in baseball.
Grady looks to finish his high school career as well as the Ogle era on a good note as he prepares for the upcoming baseball season.
“I’m really excited for the season this year, i feel like we have a lot of potential this season, and I’m ready to end my high school career on a good note,” said Ogle.
