Prom is approaching very fast, with just little over two weeks away the student body is doing everything they can to be prepared for this huge eventful day that will take place April 30th, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Arrowhead Stadium.
For upperclassmen this is a day that they have all been looking forward too since they have walked in the hallways as a freshman. And now it's finally their turn to cherish the time and memories of prom. As they are all preparing for and looking forward to prom students were asked what part of prom they were looking forward too and what there thoughts on prom were.
MaKaela Mcintyre, a Senior said “I’m looking forward to picking out the perfect dress, decoration, glam, the theme, and her hot date.” While this being what she is looking forward too she also stated her thoughts on prom. Mcintyre believes “It gives kids something to look forward to at the end of the school year. And it gives them a reason to come to school.”
Along with what students are looking forward too at prom they are also stating their thoughts on prom and how they feel about the price of prom. Prom tickets are currently $50 a person and will be on sale up until the week of prom.
Lexi Sharp, a Senior said she likes the thought that prom is for all upperclassmen only, and how it will be somewhere other than at school. She also stated that she felt that the price of tickets were expensive overall with everything else you will have to get.
Along with Lexi, a Junior Bri Burns said “ I like how it is exciting, it’s something to look forward too and I love how it is a formal dance.” She also stated that “ Prom tickets are very expensive for just a one night event. You’re spending money on a dress you will never wear again.”
While prom will continue to creep up upon time it seems like students are looking forward to the night and making amazing memories even though the tickets are a little pricey they are all ready to see how the event unfolds.
