Fire Alarms Becoming Disturbing Trend
Story By: Rebecca Watson
Beep! Beep! Beep! We all know what that means.
Time to evacuate the building and go back in in 10 minutes.
Why do people pull fire alarms and light trashcans on fire?
All they do is get in trouble. It’s not a good idea to pull fire alarms and stuff because there is no way of getting away with it. You’re going to get caught every time you do it.
“I don’t understand why people pull fire alarms,” Tessa Beauchamp, sophomore at WC says. “When I went to Truman, no one ever did something like that.”
Others find it humorous, but it truly is a serious issue.
“I think it’s funny when people pull the fire alarms because we all get a little break from class,” Kyle Cramer, freshman at William Chrisman says. “No one did that in middle school, and I’d never be brave enough to do it.”
People that pull fire alarms or light trashcans on fire should just stop because someone somewhere saw you and told on you so you’re never going to get away with it. There’s cameras around every corner, there’s admin and teachers walking around the hallways. You’re always caught so I wouldn’t do it.
If you hear someone saying that they’re going to pull the fire alarm or you see someone do it, don’t be scared to tell the office. They can get the person that does it before they do it so that the Fire Department doesn’t have to drive all the way to our school for nothing.
It has to make them mad coming to school false alarms 2-3 times a week.
Stop pulling fire alarms people! You’re going to get caught every single time!
