Seniors Share Advice For Success

Going into high school, many have no clue of what to expect, what the next four years will bring, who they’ll meet, the goals they’ll accomplish, and mistakes they’ll make.
Students in high school can range from all different age groups but as the years pass on, they become more mature and responsible.
Seniors, especially, know their way around high school. Some seniors want to pass down their knowledge and let those younger than them to learn from it.
“Make friends and be as outgoing as you can,” said senior Skie Weiss.
“You’re going to be here for a while so make the best of it, but be sure to stay focused on school work at the same time,” she added.
Barry Baker said he had learned an important lesson.
“Do not procrastinate ‘til the last minute,” he said.
Bria Bynum cherishes the relationships she has made during high school.
“Make as many friends as you can because four years will go by faster than you think. You’ll want to have as many friends as you can to make memories with,” she said. “Also, pay lots of attention in class and make connections with teachers for the sake of your grade, and they’re good for references.”
Others are just focused on reaching the end.
“Don’t drop out” senior Zach Blanchard laughs. “Just work your hardest and try you best.”
Alex Brown found several keys to success.
”Be respectful to teachers, do all your homework, and be involved. Also, try to break away from your group of friends and be friends with everyone,” she said.
Heaven Tanis offered some simple advice for being successful.
“Turn all your work in on time, it makes things so much more easier,” she said.
