Disney movies have been around for many, many years and it seems like some Disney movies will never get old.
We all have a favorite Disney movie we could watch over and over again and never get tired of it. Disney offers an extremely long list of options to choose from, and is still to this day expanding.
When students were asked what their favorite was, it seemed like a very hard question, as almost every student had to really think because there are simply too many genuinely good movies from this company.
“I’d say Aladdin,” said junior Destiny White-Dixon, “The fantasy that the writers created is so original and it’s one of the first movies to star a colored princess. It really brought more diversity to Disney.”
Senior Bria Bynum has her own top choice.
“My favorite Disney movie is Mulan,” she said. “it breaks down gender barriers and is empowering to women and little girls.”
She also thinks the movie has an important message.
“I recently just watched it and as I get older, I realize and understand more about the movie,” she said.
“Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior,” is senior Damian Kindelan’s top choice. It is a made for TV original Disney movie.,
“it has a lot of action, which I like and I also think it’s cool how she was studying on how to be a warrior at home and school, she was living a double-life,” he said.
Others know exactly what their all-time favorite Disney movie is, take sophomore Alia Wheeler for example.
“Definitely Lion King,” she said. “I like the entire storyline. Basically, the message it gives to kids and about how they should act is given through the connection between the father and son- it’s important in showing children morals.”
This is correct because Disney movies often have hidden messages that they want children to pick up on and learn from.
Disney movies intertwine a lot of different genres and personality of characters, and that’s why people love them so much.
